What happens at the first visit? The first time you are here you will be asked to sign our contract and donate your first sample - very simple. The next day you will be notified as to whether the sample was approved. When will I get paid? As soon as you have donated the first 10 approved samples. How do I produce the best possible sample? Stay abstinent for 2-3 days before you donate. | Absolutely not. What matters is things like the motility of your sperm, your sperm count, your family and personal medical history, your psychological outlook, and numerous other things listed below. Check it all out, carefully, and if you believe you can meet these requirements, we would like to talk with you. To donate, you’ll need to be at least 18 but no older than 44. You must be able to visit our office in the New York Financial District once a week. Our hours are 9 am to 6 pm, Tuesday and Thursday and 9 am to 3 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We are looking for at least a one-year commitment. You must be able to supply us with in-depth medical histories for both sides of your biological family. You need to have no ongoing or chronic health issues. Federal, state and international health regulations require us to reject applicants who have ever been exposed to, or infected with, the following: hepatitis B and/or C; HIV; HTLV; genital herpes; genital warts; syphilis. Our donor screening process starts with an online application. After you have completed and submitted it, you will receive an e-mail. We may ask for more information, or we may ask that you drop by for a face-to-face interview. Be sure to bring along a passport, driver’s license or other form of government-issued photo identification. Along with your initial interview, the purpose of this first visit will be to provide us with a semen sample by masturbating alone in a comfortable, private room designed for this purpose. (You will have a better sperm count if you abstain from ejaculating for at least 48 prior to submitting a sample.) You will need to return to our office and submit two more samples during the following several days. We will then analyze all three samples for sperm count, motility, progression, morphology and freezing traits. If your samples exhibit the required characteristics, we will begin our comprehensive screening process. The screening takes about two weeks and includes testing for genetic diseases and STD’s; medical examinations; and psychological profiling. There is no payment during this process but if you are accepted into our program you will be paid for each sample which remains after testing. Once accepted, you will need to visit our office at least once a week. You will be paid for the first time after you have donated 10 usable samples. As an approved donor you’ll need to give us a blood test every three months, and you will receive an annual physical examination for as long as you remain an active donor. (These procedures are free to you.) You will receive an average of $75-125 for each ejaculate sample that meets our requirements. |
